Rampage Jackson reports about his testosterone replacement therapy

Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, a mixed martial artist and actor, told about effects of testosterone in the interview with Gary Alexander of “Fighters Only Magazine”. He told about his decision to use testosterone, about its effects on increase of muscle mass, weight of the body and his sexual life. He pronounced these words after his fail at UFC 144 in Japan.
Rampage Jackson was honestly discussing about his decision to seek a physician who could prescribe him testosterone replacement therapy. He said openly because he thought that testosterone didn’t belong to anabolic steroids.  Rampage Jackson claimed that steroids were for muscles but testosterone was natural. Thus, he was mistaken, considering that testosterone is not an anabolic steroid.
Actually, application of testosterone replacement therapy in mixed martial arts is a debated issue. Testosterone is used legally in case of hypogonadism (low testosterone production). Thus, mixed martial artists who have this condition can receive a therapeutic use exemption which permits to utilize the steroid testosterone legally.
But the problem which is widely discussed is whether the sportsperson who utilizes therapeutic dose of testosterone may get unfair advantage during competitions.
The most of athletes who have received a therapeutic use exemption for usage of testosterone for clinical purposes deny receiving any enhancement of performance because of testosterone replacement therapy.
As for Jackson, he reported that testosterone replacement therapy had enhanced his muscle size, speeded his recovery from his injuries and influenced positively on his sexual life. The mixed martial artist said that he had experienced a knee injury. After he had utilized three doses of testosterone, the knee was healed. He added bodyweight and muscle size. He noticed that small measures of the steroid testosterone had caused obvious changes in him. His sexual life was improved significantly; he started to feel as if he had been only 25.
Rampage Jackson condemned steroids for his impossibility to lose weight to meet criteria of the 206lb weight category.
Jackson confirms that he doesn’t break any rule. He applies testosterone and confirms that it is legitimately.
He confirms that he is happy that he utilizes testosterone.
