Connections between hard trainings and rhabdomyolsis

More than 10 players of the Iowa Hawkeyes football team were taken in hospital because of  rhabdomyolsis. This is an illness related to prompt destruction of skeletal muscle that results in leakage into urine myoglobin, a muscle protein. Individuals that have this disease suffer from serious muscle aches, weakness and soreness. Since byproducts of the muscle destruction become toxic to the kidneys, there is an increased risk of kidney failure in this case.
Experts started immediately to demonize nephrotoxic supplements or anabolic steroids in occurring of rhabdomyolsis in players of the Hawkeyes but there was no any  relation between these medicines and this disease in them. The doctor James Williams told to CBS during an interview that nephrotoxic supplements were responsible for the disease in these football players. He confirmed that persons had dehydration, when their muscles became broken due to hard trainings. When supplements are applied in such cases, they are turned to be toxic to kidneys directly, according to James William. He added that this condition led to rhabdomyolsis.
Unluckily, the media didn’t interview real high-qualified specialists. Only so-called experts were asked by media. That’s why the affirmations were misleading.
It is suggested that Mike Gimbel of a Maryland anti-steroid and anti-supplement organization doesn’t have required knowledge. He just claims that although they do not know how the supplements act in body and whether they lead to any positive effects, these medications are quite dangerous for health.
Nevertheless, several facts displayed that anabolic steroids were not responsible for rhabdomyolsis of the football players. They submitted to tests for forbidden preparations and they tested negative. Moreover, an expert has studied and displayed that there was no any link between muscle damages and anabolic steroids or HGH. Richard J. Auchus, a specialist on steroid metabolism at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, claims that gamma-Hydroxybutyric acid is the only preparation that could cause this condition. Sometimes this medication is taken for anabolic effects too. It is an illicit medication. Certain experts like Auchus, a consultant of the U. S. Anti-Doping Agency, confirm that no any medication is to be blamed for this condition of the players. He assures that the muscle disorder is caused by extremely hard training to which the coaches pushed the athletes.
The trainer Chris Doyle will be probably blamed for rhabodomyolsis of the football players, if steroids or other supplements will be not turned to be the reasons of the condition. Who knows? Even sport in itself is associated with certain risks.

Sportswriters create wrong perception in people about the Pittsburgh Steelers

When it is proclaimed that the Pittsburgh Steelers are going to play, reporters seem to be responsible to write about their links with steroids. They put efforts to create a steroid scandal and to define any supposed relations of this team with it.
Mike Fish of ESPN displayed the same attitude, when the Pittsburgh Steelers played in the 2009 Super Bowl.  This reporter turned to be lucky in writing news linked with this team and steroids.
However reporters are not always lucky, when it comes to allegations of a team or an individual with performance-enhancing drugs before a competition, the situation is changed, if it is spoken about the Steelers. Sportswriters like writing about their history, about the lesson linked with anabolic steroids that took place in 1970s.
David Fleming wrote about historical lessons of the Steelers before a game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Green Bay Packers. This sportswriter reported about time, when the NFL hadn’t yet banned intake of steroids. Thus, according to some sources, players of the Pittsburgh Steelers took steroids in the late 1970s. It is written in the 1991 book “False Glory: The Steve Courson Story” that over 70 % of the offensive linemen of the Pittsburgh Steelers  took steroids.
It must have been true but it is necessary to understand that intake of steroids was not forbidden. Why are the Steelers blamed, if intake of steroids was permitted?
Jim Haslett told the New Orleans Saints that the Steelers had won a lot if times in 1970s and in 1980s due to steroids. According to this trainer, the football players of the team became much stronger due to steroids.
But it is important to be careful here. The Steelers were not the first football team that took steroids and other products that cause performance-enhancing effects. There were other teams in professional football that applied steroids even in well-organized way.
Matt Chaneygives the better explanation connected with administration of steroids by football players. He mentioned in his book “The Spiral of Denial: Muscle Doping in American football” that the Pittsburgh Steelers were not responsible for the steroid revolution in football. There was another team that had to be condemned for this factor. The San Diego Charges applied steroids before the Pittsburgh Steelers in 1960s.
Although the Pittsburgh Steelers used steroids in 1970s, it is impossible to consider that they won due to steroids. There were also players of other teams that took these medicines too. Nonetheless, the Pittsburgh Steelers were successful!

Features of Trenbolone have not been appreciated properly for many years

Trenbolone is a steroid which is used in bodybuilding for numerous years. Unfortunately, this product has never been claimed to be  a proper medication for medical needs. It isn’t approved for human use by the U. S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). This preparation has been demonized numerous times by media. Numerous articles have announced that this medicine is very  dangerous. But recent researches have displayed opposite facts. It is believed that general attitude to this medicine may be soon  changed. Experts from Florida, including Joshua Yarrow, assure that this drug may be applied as testosterone for hormone replacement therapy.  The experts point out that it is an effective alternative medication to testosterone for the purpose mentioned above. Results of studies led by these experts have been published in the American Journal of Physiology – Endocrinology and Metabolism.
Moreover, the experts proclaim that trenbolone enanthate has even several priorities over testosterone for certain individuals. Bodybuilders  know and support the statements linked with this medication. It is known that testosterone aromatases. As for trenbolone, it is converted neither to estradiol, nor to dihydrotestosterone (DHT). That’s why it doesn’t lead to adverse consequences related to estrogen and DHT.
Yarrow  says about the researches led by him and his colleagues. Castrated rats have been given trenbolone enanthate.  Even low dosages of this medication have increased their muscle size and kept bone mineral density. There have not been reported such negative results, as prostate enlargement or polycythemia in these lab rats.
But too induced doses of testosterone enanthate were required to produce the same anabolic results in muscles as were caused by reduced quantities of trenbolone enanthate. But such side consequences, as enlargement of prostate and induced hemoglobin accompanied the induced doses of testosterone enanthate. It is suggested by the researchers that trenbolone acts like selective androgen receptor modulators, producing anabolic effects in muscles and bones without androgenic unwanted reactions.
Professional competitive bodybuilders like administrating trenbolone some weeks before competitions because it causes fat loss. Moreover, the researches have displayed that the same dosages of trenbolone have stronger lipolytic effects than those of testosterone. It has been determined that more trenbolone an individual applies, the greater the fat loss is caused.
Since trenbolone lacks aromatization, it is usually taken together with such steroids, as testosterone, Dianabol or with another aromatizable steroid. The lack of aromatization makes trenbolone unable to be applied alone for testosterone replacement therapy. The non-aromatizable property of this drug is responsible for just partial protective effect of bones.
Nonetheless, it is possible to make conclusion that additional studies are needed in order to use trenbolone for hormone replacement therapy.

Several anti-doping experts are moved with indignation by certain decisions of the WADA

Alberto Contador, a Spanish professional cyclist, that won the 2010 Tour de France tested positive for Clenbuterol. Quantities of this substance in his body were too small. They were 40 times less than its minimum standard of the detection ability. But the WADA is completely intolerable when it comes to this preparation. Any quantity of this preparation uncovered in an athlete’s body causes ban.
Alberto Contador confirms that the positive for Clenbuterol is caused by meat contaminated with this substance. Many experts believe him, since the amount uncovered in his urine are extremely small.   Nonetheless, the cyсlist Alberto Contadorwas banned.
The anti-doping expert of Contador’s defense team Douwe de Boer says that he becomes disappointed in decisions of the WADA day by day. He notes that it seems as if the WADA were glad to ban innocent sportspersons but not to define cheaters.
Zhao Jian of China’s Anti-Doping Agency claims that an individual may test positive from contaminated meat. It is not just anyone’s point of view. This statement has scientific basis. The specialist Detlef Thieme of the Institute of Doping Analysis and Sports from Germany supports this affirmation too.  He proclaims that nobody may doubt about it.
Wilhelm Schaenzer of the Laboratoty for Doping Analysis at the German Sports University in Cologne says that it is an evident problem that they are not able to investigate and detect doping clearly.
According to anti-doping researches led in Cologne, it is easier to detect Clenbuterol from contaminated meat than from intentional use of this substance for performance-enhancing effects.
China’s National Anti-Doping Laboratory reports that experiments led by them have displayed that consumption of pork meat containing Clenbuterol can lead to positives for this substance.
In spite of these affirmations, there are skeptic people that think that Alberto Contador has used banned drugs.
Skeptic attitude to the professional cyclist Alberto Contador may be explained by the condition that usage of EPO, anabolic steroids, HGH and other medications that cause performance-enhancing effects is widespread in cycling. The former cyclists Floyd Landis and Bernhard Kohl that have been caught by the WADA claim that all cyclists forbidden medicines that have performance-enhancing effects. Patrick Arnold, a chemist has the same point of view.

Innocent persons suffer together with guilty individuals

Anti-doping rules are controversial in several situations. While certain athletes are caught breaking anti-doping rules, the whole teams receive suspensions. Thus, individuals that don’t violate anti-doping rules suffer together with liars. Can’t you find it  unfair? Why must good athletes be kept from making their hopes and dreams real, if other persons violate anti-doping laws?
The football program of the college from Waterloo was shut down for a year. It was a result of an investigation.  Everything began due to a bust of a player who was caught having many  vials of anabolic steroids and HGH. This detection caused numerous investigations conducted in Canadian colleges. The investigations were conducted by the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport.
An investigation displayed eight positives of the Waterloo football players. It caused the decision to suspend the whole team for a year.
Unfortunately, fair players of the Waterloo College were suspended together with liars that took prohibited performance-enhancing medications. The football players Matt Vonk and Steve Ples  played at Laurier before the scandal connected with steroids and the suspension. These two football players dind’t violate anti-doping rules. That’s why The football players Matt Vonk and Steve Ples hadn’t to be suspended.
The players Matt Vonk and Steve Ples wanted to transfer to another college in order to realize their dreams linked with football. But these football players received refusal. Thus, these players will be kept from playing football the whole year.

Sometimes it is impossible to trust some reporters who write about steroids

Since pieces of news related to steroids are popular in the whole world, numerous reporters present them even without appropriate knowledge linked with these drugs. Several journalists are not able even spell names of the medicines about which they write articles. When an article’s topic is about a celebrated steroid used by various sportspersons, readers expect to find out about essential properties and researches about this steroid. A reporter who writes about a steroid should possess at least general information related to it.
Unfortunately, you may come across significant ignorance, when you read news linked with steroids. For example, Matthew Kelly has written an article about Nandrolone Decanoate that was published in the Newcastle Herald newspaper. As it is well known by many people, the trade name of this medicine is very celebrated. Athletes frequently say shortly: they call it just Deca instead of Deca Durabolin.  The name  “Deca Durabolin” has been applied for about 50 years. But the reporter Matthew Herald has done mistakes even in the name of this celebrated steroid. This author has written it following: Decca Duarbulon. Could you trust this reporter? Could you be sure that the other statements that are written by this reporter  are true, if he can’t even write the name of the product correctly? Furthermore, it is not the only case displayed the lack of knowledge  about the things he writes. The Newcastle Herald seems to lack studies related to steroids. Kelly asks the local trainer to support his affirmation about steroids that is following: black market of anabolic steroids is full of young sportspersons that look for products that possess performance-enhancing effects to build muscled bodies. Since it must be true, the trainer is not able to support the affirmation because he knows just the aspects he has been said. He can’t report anything actually because he is not involved in this problem directly.
Another lack of researches is shown in the Newcastle Herald’s description of the methods to detect consumers of steroids. It is written that if an individual has massive arms but not chest or  a massive chest and not arms, he\she is steroid user. This is the “depth” of studies provided by the Newcastle Herald.
