Girlfriends of Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens and Lance Armstrong were asked about sexual abilities of these athletes

Several sportspersons that are accused of steroid use become targets of the government. Federal prosecutors do almost anything in order to define whether several athletes have applied any doping products. They don’t spare taxpayers’ funds for this purpose. Much money is spent to learn even private life of athletes. According to the government, some details of their private behavior can reveal the truth about administration of banned medicines. Thus, girlfriends of certain sportspersons are interviewed by federal prosecutors.
For example, it has been reported that former girlfriends of Lance Armstrong and Roger Clemens and a former mistress of Barry Bonds have been asked about several aspects connected with private life of these athletes. Which questions were asked?
Kimberly Bell, a former mistress of Barry Bonds, was asked about size of testicles of this baseball player. She claimed that the athlete’s testicles were shrunken. So, her affirmations served as a proof that Barry Bonds applied steroids and/or other banned medications.
It is known that testicular atrophy belongs to adverse reactions of certain steroids. Thus, the government decided to find out whether Barry Bonds had had this problem. But it is an unreliable argument in order to prove that anyone has administered some banned substances. Steroid users may prevent this negative result, if they administer certain medicines for this purpose.
Mindy McCready, a former mistress of Roger Clemens, was asked whether this former baseball player had suffered from erectile dysfunctions. The singer noted that sometimes Roger Clemens had suffered from this problem.
When it comes to erectile dysfunctions, they may occur during application of steroids. But if you study information about unwanted consequences of steroids more attentively, you can understand that this problem is more likely to appear after discontinuation of application. It happens because natural production of testosterone is normally suppressed by intake of exogenous testosterone. But since there are such products that can restore natural testosterone production, erectile dysfunctions can be prevented.
Sheryl Crow, a former girlfriend of Lance Armstrong, was also targeted by federal prosecutors. But questions are not revealed. According to several suppositions, she might have been asked also about sexual abilities of the 7-time Tour de France winner.
Actually, the government has a mistaken opinion in this case. However testicular atrophy and erectile dysfunctions may occur on account of steroid use, these arguments are not proper.
