Don Hooton educates youth and adults that steroids are dangerous

Several medicines are named “performance-enhancing drugs”. What do these medicines represent? Why have been they called “performance-enhancing”? Various people may have different definitions. Let mention what a teenager believes! Before presenting her opinion it is necessary to mention that her brother, Taylor Hooton, experienced serious depression after intake of steroids. Ultimately, he committed suicide. He wanted to look like Melky Cabrera, Barry Bonds and other prominent sportspersons that have applied steroids. But his death came suddenly. His sister confirms that performance-enhancing drugs are dangerous preparations. They are called “performance-enhancing drugs” in order to lure young individuals that want to improve their appearances and performances.
Don Hooton, Taylor’s father, established a foundation to teach youth about dangers related to steroids. He describes which risks are associated with intake of anabolic steroids and other related medications. He also utilizes slideshow presentations in order to explain that these products can cause such unwanted consequences, as diabetes, heart diseases, liver dysfunctions, etc.
Don Hooton tries to educate young individuals about dangerous risks related to administration of steroids. But he admits that it is difficult. He affirms that numerous young persons take doping products. When their friends see that they become stronger and more muscular, they want to look like them. They follow their examples in order to change appearance and have more strength.
Unfortunately, several parents believe that their children are free from steroid use. Some of them think that their daughters don’t use steroids because these products are recommended to get muscles and body weight in general. But according to several sources, girls also apply steroids. They apply these medicines in order to lose fat. Several parents don’t know that anabolic steroids are also used to burn fat. That’s why grown-ups also should be educated about effects of steroids. Moreover, certain parents believe that their children don’t apply steroids because these products are expensive. But it is enough to have 20-500 dollars in order to get steroids for a cycle.
It is considered that each16th high school student takes steroids. But this opinion is mistaken. Every 16th high school student admits to administering doping products.   But the most of young people hide that they administer these drugs.
